Central Heating Flushing

Over time, hydronic networks accumulate magnetite (iron oxide) sludge that reduces flow, kills boiler efficiency, and damages pumps and valves. Annual or biannual flushing keeps your system at peak.

A power flush forces high-velocity, chemically-treated water through your hydronic network in both directions, dislodging accumulated sludge and depositing it in a magnetic filter.

We typically recommend a power flush every 5–7 years for residential systems, or annually for high-output commercial systems. Symptoms that you need one earlier: cold spots in radiators, noisy pump, lower-than-spec output.

What's involved

A typical power flush takes 4–8 hours for a residential system. We connect a power flush rig to your manifold, dose treatment chemicals, run high-velocity flush in both directions, and re-dose with corrosion inhibitor.

We provide before/after water samples and a system health report.

Key benefits

  • Restores boiler efficiency
  • Removes magnetite sludge
  • Re-dose corrosion inhibitor
  • Before/after water samples
  • Recommend every 5–7 years
  • System health report included
FAQs

Common questions

How often should my hydronic system be flushed?

Every 5–7 years for residential systems, annually for high-output commercial systems. Symptoms suggesting an earlier flush: cold spots in radiators, noisy circulator pump, lower-than-spec heat output.

What's involved?

We connect a power flush rig to your manifold, dose treatment chemicals, run high-velocity flushes in both directions, and re-dose with corrosion inhibitor. Typical job: 4–8 hours for residential. We provide before/after water samples and a system health report.

Will it damage my system?

No — power flushing is the manufacturer-recommended maintenance for hydronic systems. We use European-standard chemicals that are safe for boilers, pumps, valves and emitters of all major brands.
