Engineering before sales
We refuse to quote without a heat-loss calculation. Recommending a 24kW boiler when the house needs 11kW is how customers end up paying for comfort they'll never feel. We do the maths first.

From a one-van Sydney plumbing firm to the country's go-to specialists for hydronic heating, cooling and complex plumbing — across three workshops and every state.

AHHAC began life in 1998 as AJ's Plumbing — a one-van Sydney trade business with a reputation for showing up on time and fixing things properly. For two decades we ran a busy general plumbing book — bathroom fit-outs, hot water, drains, the lot.
But job after job, our installers kept being asked the same question: why is this house so cold, even with the heater on? The answer, almost always, was the heating system itself. Forced air dries out interiors, fights leaky envelopes and rattles in the night.
So in 2020 we doubled down on what we'd been quietly doing for years — designing radiant hydronic networks that just work — and launched the Australian Hydronic Heating & Cooling brand to do it at scale.
Today our crews train across Australia, New Zealand and the UK. Our designers heat-loss-model every home before a pipe is cut. And our service desk treats a six-zone underfloor system the same as a leaking laundry tap: pick up by the third ring.

It's the test we use to hire every tradesman. If they wouldn't be welcome on the worksite of a friend's home, they don't work on yours. References available — we encourage you to call them.
A hydronic system is a 30-year investment. We're around for the annual service, the unexpected fault, and the upgrade in 2046. Our oldest active service contract is from 2003.
Our client list spans private homeowners renovating Federation cottages, custom builders specifying high-end new builds, body corporates and strata managers running the hot-water plants of multi-residential towers, and commercial fit-out partners delivering hospitals, hotels and offices.

The biggest cost-saver on a hydronic build is good design upstream. Hand us your plans before the slab is poured and we'll save you money for the next 30 years.
