
Fonderie SIME's last-generation low-temperature wall-mounted gas boiler — engineered in Italy, certified to Australian standards, distributed by Reece. 28.1 kW heating output, 93.7% efficiency, NOx Class 5. The Brava Slim 30 BFR is Fonderie SIME's last-generation low-temperature wall-mounted gas boiler, designed for HEATING ONLY applications — radiators, hydronic underfloor and skirting heating. Domestic hot water is delivered via a separate hot water cylinder (heated through a hydraulic separator and three-way valve, both supplied by AHHAC as part of the install kit).
Sime's design choices on the Brava Slim are deliberate. An atmospheric burner with a copper heat exchanger gives long-term reliability and easy serviceability. A sealed combustion chamber (sealed from the room it's installed in) means combustion air is drawn from outside via the coaxial flue, eliminating any room-air dependency and meeting modern airtight-build requirements. The microprocessor control board supports OpenTherm modulating remote controls, room thermostat inputs and an external climatic-curve sensor — so flow temperature can vary automatically with outside temperature for 5–10% additional seasonal efficiency.
Two variants serve different install locations. The 30 BFRi (Reece code 8112540) is designed for indoor installation — service cupboards, garages, laundry alcoves. The 30 BFRe (Reece code 8112541) is engineered for outdoor installation with IP X5D weather-rating against atmospheric agents — eave-shelters, side returns, plant decks. Both produce identical heat output and efficiency.
