Start with the data plate on the side of the tank. The model number tells us the fuel, capacity and connection layout, and the manufacture date tells us how old it really is. With a photo of that plate, we can quote a direct replacement and one or two alternatives before we arrive.
Whichever you choose, the warranty only protects you if installation and upkeep meet the manufacturer's conditions. That means installation by a licensed plumber, periodic easing of the relief valve, and servicing at the interval set out in the owner's guide. We register every warranty on the day and deal with Rheem directly on any claim, so you are not left chasing the manufacturer yourself.
