ImmergasSimeThermaSkirt™Hydronic cooling works by circulating chilled water — instead of warm water — through your underfloor loops or through discreet fan coils, absorbing heat from each room quietly and evenly. Because water carries heat far more efficiently than air, hydronic cooling uses noticeably less energy than a ducted air-conditioner, with none of the draughts, blown dust or fan noise. For Sydney homes that already run hydronic heating, adding cooling often means little more than a reversible heat pump on the existing pipework.

In-slab underfloor cooling gently lifts heat out of the room through the floor — beautifully silent and invisible, ideal for well-insulated new builds and modest cooling loads. For Sydney's hotter days, west-facing glazing or higher loads, we add hydronic fan coils that deliver faster, deeper cooling on demand. The critical design detail for Sydney's humid summers is dew-point control. We install sensors that automatically raise the chilled-water temperature if room humidity climbs, so floors and pipework never sweat, and we size a small dehumidification stage where the coastal climate needs it. A single reversible heat pump (Maxa i-290 or i-32V5) provides both the winter heating and the summer chilled water, keeping the whole system all-electric and solar-ready.
